Hi All,

I have recently set up a website with all of my backing tracks on it. I have included a player, slow-downer and a tool to let you slow down your own mp3 tracks as well. You can also download the tracks if you would like to keep them locally. Please have a look and let me know what you think. All feedback welcome.

UPDATE: 24th Nov 2014.  Now over 100 tracks on the site and still growing! Thanks for all of the requests and positive feedback.

Wow! Awesome site Simon! Very impressive slowdowner, sound quality, song list, the whole package. One comment is that the player didn't load on firefox for me. Chrome worked great. As requested, I will spread the word.

Great site!

I learned a new song called "Empty Slot"!  I already knew how to play it too since it was the same chord progression as Cripple Creek.

The site is well done.

I hit decrease speed 5% twice and it showed 89.9999999998.  Minor thing, but you probably want it to show 90%.

Also, the sound quality suffers once you get down below 60% speed.  Nothing compares to Amazing Slow Downer in that range though and ASD costs money.

Really great work.

Thanks, yes there are a few things I need to iron out in time. I'm just learning the programming part so it's work in progress!

Thanks Prof. It's not my intention to compete with any commercial offerings. I share these with friends anyway, this is just a way to share with a larger pool of friends. We're all trying to achieve the same thing, so it makes sense to pool our resources and help each other out.

Works on my Firefox install in Windows 8.

What a great site.  Very cool.  Lot's of great fiddle tunes too, which is an area I sorely need to work on.

I've now tested it on fresh installs of IE, Chrome, Firefox and iOS. It works on all and I can't seem to replicate any problems. I'm afraid the problem is not with the site, sorry.

Thanks. That's the way I like to play it. I know it can be played with an F#m or and A, but I've always done it that way. Sounds nice I think. :-) Cheers. S.

A quick note: if you have any trouble playing a file, REFRESH THE PAGE (Press F5).

I have been doing a bit of tidying of the site and have changed some code. If you don't refresh it may not play.

Hi David. It should work ok, so perhaps try reselecting it and giving it a second or two to buffer. If you are using the track in the slow jam section then there is only so much you can slow down before it will start to slur, as you are just changing the speed at which the player processes the track.

Hi Simon,
I have been checking in on your site's progress since launch. It has developed into incredible resource and is a regular part of my practice routine. I have 19 or 20 tunes I am planning on working up this next year and been furiously working up some fast Cherokee shuffle and New Camptown Races breaks over the last couple weeks.

I just donated and urge anyone else who uses the site to do the same. It is the best backing track resource I have found!
