Howdy,

Strong playing & GREAT sounding banjo: Sounds like you made a good purchase!

Thanks. I had another Stelling that was a great banjo but this one just off the charts with the lost timber rim.

I believe I had a CD/DVD combo at one time by James Reams and the banjo player with them was playing a Stelling, probably and possibly the one you now have.  Just thought you might want to see if they were still available if you were not aware of this.

I own a 2013 Stelling Sunflower and couldn't agree more with your assessment.  You might want to join the 'Stelling Owners' Blog site here on the HO.

Mickey told in an email he recorded I think. 2 cd's with this banjo when with the Barnstomers. I'll have to go back and check the email to see the titles. He also told me that Walter Hensley who was the first 5string picker to ever play Carnegie Hall used the banjo to record some.

The Barnstormers album he used the Golden Cross to record was titled "Troubled times"

Herb Pederson was another picker that played this banjo at "The Bottom line" in NYC.
