Just curious if anyone has any tips for how to whiten goat skin. I just got a few hides and am experimenting with stain, bleach, etc.

not sure but I think in the old days, they used ammonia to whiten hides.

Bleaching could potentially rot the hide.

In leather working we use Oxalic Acid as a non destructive bleach.
