My Cover Version of Under the Double Eagle is based on Alan Munde's Banjo Lesson, Under the Double Eagle - from the Festival Favorites for the 5 String Banjo DVD.
Learning this tune was a major challenge for me and it has has taken me close on four years to get it up to this standard. The arrangement has some tricky licks and it took me a long while to learn.

Thanks Raymond, Yes this particular arrangement is an extremely difficult one to nail, the half measure chord change sequence in particular. you barely have time to play a three note roll before you have to rearrange you fingers on the fret board. I still struggle with it.

Wow Tam that's a lot of notes. Good job on a tough song. At it for four years shows your commitment.
I've been playing three years next month and have noticed the songs I do best are the ones I learned at the first. Time in the trenches proves true huh?

Sure does David. This is one of a number of long term goals I set myself when I was still learning the fundamentals. These lessons were way beyond my skill level at the I first starting working on them. The purpose being to build on the basic skills I had learn from the Murphy Method as a beginner.
