Would anyone have any information about a "studio group" that recorded under the name the "Pine Tree String Band"? I came across several of their albums and generally like the group's Old Time and Bluegrass sound.
I was able to find a reference to them here on the Banjo Hangout that indicated a couple of Foghorn Stringband members played in the Pine Tree group, and the post also implied that the Pine Tree group played only for one large recording session, at which time the "group" disbanded.
Anyone know anything about this group or who exactly the studio musicians were?

Didn't get a response, so I contacted Caleb Klauder of the Foghorn Stringband, who wrote, "Yes I was part of the Pine Tree String band. We were hired to record many tunes for a catalogue of sorts. We were paid hourly and recorded about 90 tunes in 5 days. fun and crazy. It wasn't really a band. just a few friends."
Just providing this information in the event someone else does a search for or wants information about the Pine Tree String Band.
