Well if you'er goin' to pick a tune to offer some help with, they don't come much better than this one!.

There're many possible ways of playin' ''H.Rose'' on your banjo, my clip may hopefully help you create your own take of it. To keep the time factor down, this is mainly a visual help lesson.

So lets get this show on the road, hope you enjoy it. Key F. Tuning CGBD.

Caution, Beware. . . . ''This video contains sounds and images,

of an old 4st. plucker, playin' his  even older 4 st. ''Vega'' banjo.

I may not learn the tune this day, Don, but it sure put a smile on my face!

Janet, it's also good for me, to put a smile on the face of. . . . in my humble opinion,

''The First Lady'' of banjo players here on Banjo Hangout, ''Janet B.''

Don,

That was one of the best banjo videos with explanations of how to play the tune I've ever seen on this site. You played diverging and converging bass and melody passing tones everywhere to make this beautiful piece come together.

Thank you for posting the Plectrum tuning (CGBD) used in your performance as it will be helpful and many players here could simply ignore their 5th string and tune for Plectrum playing. I hope your performance will give an insight as to how beautiful the Plectrum banjo can sound and be played.

Once again absolutely wonderful playing and explaining how to play this wonderful Fats Waller gem....My best...and see you in the Chat Room Don....Jack

Danny Boy and Jack, it's all good gettin' the nod, from you two passionate banjo identities!, thanks.

Hey Jack, you've done heaps of tabs, for all the 5stringers out there over for years,
which is really, a true labour of love, when ya' boil the cabbage down.

So on reading your comments on my clip . . . . it leaves me humbled. . . . Don.

Don I really loved the way you played this very memorable tune!

Thanks Doug, my goal with these such clips,
has been in keeping them as simple as possible,
trying to get the listener to think about some of my ideas on the tune at hand,
and to . . . think music.

I'm currently thinkin' about doin' another clip,
so you may have a wee bit more to work through!. . . . Don.

Don, I look forward to your next clip...Doug
