Just wanted to thank Hugh Hunter of Music in the Wood in Rockton, ON for inviting me to his shop today and  giving me a nice looking piece of equipment and a shop tour..  Hugh has a fine little store in picturesque Rockton with a fine display of beautifully worked banjos, dulcimers and others. If you are ever in the area you should try to look in.

Neat stuff. I've cycled through Rockwood several times, but not seen the shop (too busy flying down to the river valley and grinding up the other side ... puff, puff!). They also host an annual Chris Coole and Arnie Naimann workshop.



There are so few shops with a good knowledge of banjos in Ontario. Glad to see another one.

Huge kudos to Hugh for his great banjos and other good works! He is in Rockwood, not far from Guelph and about a 45 minute drive from Toronto. By the way he makes travel banjo which is WAY COOL! You get a great sounding little banjo you can take apart and put in your carry on luggage on a plane trip. The tuners are on the pot side of the banjo. I love it.

Hey guys, is it Rockton ,near Galt,or Rockwood near Guelph??   OK, just checked his website -it's in Rockwood. Interesting looking banjo-lute he has there.
