Just a heads up for what looks to be a wonderful live interview. Today 2/1 on Steve Martin's Unreal Bluegrass show on WWW.WORLDWIDEBLUEGRASS.COM . (Click on the "Listen" button for the show, and the "Chat" button to enter the chat room. NO registration is required.) Steve will be interviewing Eric Weisberg about his lifelong friendship with Pete Seeger.  Many may not know that Eric first studied under Pete from the age of about 8 years old. Eric attributes his life work in music to Pete's influence. I spoke with Eric on Thursday evening and could see that he had his mind on Pete and their association over the past 70 years, so I suggested to Steve that this might be a good time to have Eric back on. Glad it worked out.

Eric's interview will actually be the second interview on the show today, the first being another good friend of mine Ryan Cavanaugh coming on to talk about his latest projects and banjo in general. I'm excited about this one also because Ryan is an up and comer that you will all know about in the coming years and I am happy every time some new players get exposed to his work. Ryan and Rex McGee are coming here for a visit next week and it will be good to catch up and also meet Rex for the first time.

If you catch the interview live, please do come join a bunch of us in the chatroom for the show where we share stories or suggest questions to Steve as the show goes on. There are some very knowledgeable and connected folks in there from time to time. Ryan should be on at around 3pm and Eric should show up around 4pm. The show runs from 2-5 eastern time. If you can't catch the show live, it will be posted in the archive section on Steve's site sometime in the coming week.

I hope some of you will join us for this very special afternoon.

Tom
