Whodathunkit? I'd only seen him with that beautiful old snakehead Gibson that appears to be sitting behind him. I guess there's a little BAS in all of us.

That's from Art Rosenbaum's book "Old Time Mountain Banjo". He is holding and playing Art's banjo while Art took the picture...

Sorry, I have to make a little correction here. The photo is not in "Old-Time Mountain Banjo". It's in Art Rosenbaum's other book "The Art of the Mountain Banjo" (Mel Bay, 1999) on page 93. The caption says: "Buell Kazee, Winchester, KY, 1975 — Photo: Margo Newmark Rosenbaum.
