I was kind of shocked that no one jumped on this deal and it was really hard to make the decision to sell it in the first place. Well, it looks like someone may be interested in buying my work trailer which would mean my Bacophone may not have to leave home. So, I'm on hold, with fingers crossed that the trailer goes and the banjo stays. If I get to keep it and get the medical bills taken care of.....John Balch hide head will be my next purchase.

PS...I've been laid up for two months....not able to walk more than ten feet and my wife having to drive me back and forth to the Doc. Without this beautiful thing called Banjo, that I took up late in life, I would have gone insane by now. I have been able to sit on a hard back chair and play for hours....and when I couldn't do that I could lay flat on my back and play. The banjo has become more than an instrument, it's been a friend....and the support I've received from the fine folks on BHO over the past several years has really added to the mix.....Thanks, Rick

I have now set it up at the $850 price...couple of pictures below.

I have posted my Bacophone to cover some medical expenses...As I stated in an earlier post, I got a very good deal on it several months ago and I'm not interested in making a profit off of BHO members...in fact, I would much rather buy and sell only from BHO members now days, if possible. I do think it is a very good price so I am trying to come as close to breaking even as possible. I paid $850 plus shipping and paypal fees. I'm asking $935 plus shipping and paypal fees to cover my original costs plus the addition of a strap, armrest and kreshner tailpiece. What occurred to me is that some people may not care about my "improvements." So if anyone is interested I will set it up with the original no-knot tailpiece (and new strings), remove the armrest and strap. This way I could sell it for $850 plus fees and shipping....After paying the 2% for Eric....I will come very close to breaking even and someone will get an amazing deal on a Bacophone. Note...I have extended this offer to a fellow BHO member who had expressed an interest....if he is not interested in purchasing I will extend the same offer to any other BHO member. Thanks, Rick

Yesterday I sent a link to this ad to someone here in Louisville who wants to buy a Reiter.  She wants a Whyte Laydie tone ring, but I agree that this is a great price on a nice banjo.
