Hello everyone!
I'm a new member to the hangout, and I'm loving it! What a wonderful community. I wanted to take the time to share a video with you of my one man band called "Blood Brother." In this act I play a Gold Tone CEB 4 cello banjo, a bass drum, and a cymbal while singing. I hope you enjoy it!

DANG BRO!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()
That is one of the most original things I ever seen done on any kind of banjo, and believe me, I try to be original too.
Great job! A+ ![]()

Fun stuff. The well-traveled path is over-rated anyway... :) Dig it.

Blood Brother:
The CEB-4 is a good vehicle for your music and you're getting a cool sound, with an interesting combination of metal-wound nylon strings with steel strings. Your strumming carries a lot of energy and that's a nice sitar effect you throw in occasionally. The way you integrate bass drum and cymbal into the mix is very tasteful and adds a lot to your music.
This piece certainly has an East Indian ambience. I woke up this morning with the tune still in my head after listening to it last night. I went back and listened to it a few more times, and glad I did, because now I have a better understanding of what you're doing.
I saw on your website you're performing at the Titusville Sea Turtle Festival on June 15. I'm sure the turtles will enjoy your music!

I also heard some sitar sounds in there, which gave the whole thing a 60s vibe for me. I can close my eyes and envision some hippy band, and I do mean band, not a solo act. I have to say that this is one of the very rare recordings of a one-man-band that works just as a song to listen to, without even the novelty of watching a OMB.

Wow! Thank you everyone for the amazing feedback! I'm so thrilled that you all are liking this material!! I was honestly not sure what anyone was going to think, and I thought people might feel it was too "out there." I really try to make sure that the songs are good songs as they are, whether or not they are played one man band style, and it seems like that has come through which I am so happy to hear. I love world music and sitars and all that, so I'm also glad to know that it surfaces in this work. I am currently uploading a new song to YouTube and I will post a link here as soon as I get one. I'm looking forward to what you think of it!
