YES! It works. All 45 minutes can be seen. Don't miss this video:

Miles Krassen plays fiddle and is accompanied by his friends at the Albuquerque Folk Festival on June 1, 2013. I was lucky to preserve this historical moment, as Miles has not appeared on stage for many decades.
Let me know if you get to see it. Tunes are great and include:
Miller's Reel, Red Apple Rag, Silly Bill, Uncle Charle's Breakdown, Isom Waltz, Dubuque, Ducks on a Pond, Dusty Miller and Rock the Cradle Joe.
These are not festival tunes - these are ones from many years ago that have not experienced the changes we hear at today's festivals.

John's link works great. I look forward to hearing it all complete with Mile's comments. Thanks, Judy.

Random question but here goes, Are there any good bluegrass jams in Albuquerque? My dad lives there and I'm going to be visiting this summer.
Thanks and take care!

Thanks! In 1974 Miles' Cawhammer Banjo book (with the flexible little vinyl record bound in) changed the direction of my playing. It is great to see and hear him again. --Howard

When are you coming to Abq? There are different jams in different areas of town. It would help to know the specifics of arrival and departure and the general location of where you will be staying.

Miles influenced so many old time players. He's a great teacher, storyteller, and very supportive and helpful. We are fortunate to have him as a friend, and are learning so much.
Feel free to share the link to his video. Thanks J-Walk for getting the link properly posted on this thread. I wish I could edit after 15 minutes, so I could remove the old thread and also the incorrect link!

There is always something going on in the summer in ABQ.

Here's a link to a festival east of town. Alwyas a good festival.
Private message me with your questions, as I would like this thread to stay on the topic of the video presented.

Now, back to discussing this video.
The first tune, Miller's Reel, is played in G, although many versions (bluegrass versions) are played in A.
The second tune, Red Apple Rag, is also played in G.
I've made single files of each tune, and play along with Mile's fiddling. The tunes are played at a nice speed, and I really am enjoying listening to nuances.
I wanted to upload Red Apple Rag (mp3) but, even though I select the file, and click "upload" it won't upload.
So, if someone cannot tell me what I am doing wrong, then I cannot upload it - but you all have access to the video.
Enjoy!

Thanks BJudy! The version of Miller's Reel is quite different from the Bluegrass version I played, and not just that its in G rather than A. I learned "Ducks on the Pond", from Miles's book, just a month ago.
