Hi Everyone,
I have for sale or trade one of the American Made Banjo Company's NASA aluminum tonerings. This is a really light tonering (about two pounds lighter than a standard ring) and it sounds pretty good. It is very clear and even with a great midrange. I would sell it for $225 shipped or I might be interested in trading it for something, like some old nationals or old tailpieces.
You can find out more about the ring here americanmadebanjo.com/product_...cts_id=74
thanks!

Hi Gabe,
I had one of these and used a ring of copper tubing inside it as an HO member gave it me and we were experimenting with mellowing the ring, which we found a tad bright. Anyway the ring has been sold now - it was a great ring and made the banjo considerable lighter.
Best wishes - Ian

Aaron McDaris has one of these rings in one of his Kel Kroydon all mahogany banjos. The mahogany rim made Aaron's banjo a lightweight hoss on stage.

I have heard that banjo, it's a nice sounding banjo! I have had this ring in a mahogany rim banjo as well as a maple rim banjo. Personally, for me, I liked it a little better in the maple rimmed banjo.
