Brooklyn Irish Banjo - Posted - 03/11/2013: 08:26:12
Hi all -
I ordered new strings for my banjo uke (Fluke Firefly) but there is no ball or any thing else on the end of the strings.
Is there a common method that is used to tie the ends on this type of string? I tried a knot with mixed results.
Regards -S teeve

Hello,
Just make a knot. If it don't do, make another one over the the first.

You can see in the picture you slip the end of the string under the knot tot the right which helps hold the thinner strings.
Cya!

BDCA, the pic you posted is of a wooden ukulele. The firefly is a banjolele.
