Just finished this custom build and spent the day yesterday doing a couple of videos before sending it off to the customer. Most of the concert scale banjo-ukuleles I build have a 8" rim but the customer wanted his to have a 10" rim, I'm very pleased with the results and have had a lot of fun playing the instrument for the last couple of days.

Very nice banjo uke. The banjo uke has become my favorite instrument to play these days. Of course, tomorrow I might decide the 5 string is my favorite, but today, the uke gets my vote!

I love the banjo-uke and its my go to instrument, while my guitar sits in its case and five strings go for days without being played, hardly a day goes by that I don't pick up a ukulele to play a few tunes. Any style of music in any key can easily be adapted to ukulele.

Wow...those banjo ukes sound great..just had a look at your workshop...and I am JEALOUS....if any of those instruments ,or tools, are missing they will be at my place ..here in australia..(LOL)..great studio...I noticed during the build there was no sissalation or fibreglass bats used..the walls seemed to be lined with a sort of particle or chip board..is that the norm for you folk.. I am just about to build our studio and we are close to the "mountains" snow country..it must insulate better . Cheers

Piccolo, Thanks for the compliments. I did insulate the studio with fiberglass bats, guess that part didn't make the picture cut. We are in the mountains here at 4,500 feet and it does get cold, I'm heating my workspace with a small wood stove.

Thanks Richard...I am just about caught up with all those other pesky jobs and will concentrate on the studio over winter..we just finished summer here, most days 40ish celsius..phew...we are nowhere near that height..only about 7-800feet but wet, wet, wet,..so Will aslo put the bats in the wall, yes and also heat the space with a similar wood stove...cheers from australia

Richard, it would be nice if you could just relax and enjoy that uke.............. Seriously, the video is very enjoyable and I envy the new owner of the instrument. Keep up the great work in that great workshop!
