I have the resonater model, I think its a concert. Got it to take to song circles full of boomy dreadnaughts. It cuts through the mix nicely.

No. I think Recording King and Lanikai both make an open back. You might want to check out Jim Beloff's Flea Market Forum, its all uke discussion.

Here is a ukulele forum with a buying advice and luthier section ukuleleunderground.com/forum/forum.php. I can tell you that the flat plate type of resonators don't really do much for the sound of my banjo uke. I prefer it open back. Now a full resonator like a bluegrass banjo would likely be a different story.

Morning...thanks Kevin for the link...I'll check it out. One of the "players" at the uke club I just joined has a banjo uke with a full resonator..however, he wasn't there last night so I could try it out as we had planned. I was wondering "if" anybody has tuned their tenor banjo for uke tuning, how that would sound???? Maybe I'd look into a tenor banjo instead. Any "tenor" players out there have any sound files I could hear??
