You did great Janna! It's really nice to see any young person being excited about our kind of music, but especially so in your case, because of the limited exposure that you have to it. Also, it's great to be humble, but don't ever think you're not a good banjo player. I love your playing, I love your enthusiasm and how open and honest you are. This can only bode good things for you in the future. I hope you can realize your dream to come to this country and learn more about the music you love, but until then, I'm sure you can find a lot on the internet to keep you busy. There's a lot of tablature here on the hangout and some great instructional videos by John Boulding (Banjophobic) and others that you might want to look at if you haven't already found them. Also, there's a lot of good backing tracks that you could play along with. keep in mind what "n1wr" posted above. I don't think anyone could have said it better than that. Have fun with your music, and keep believing in yourself. I truly believe you have a great future in music. Perhaps you will be the pioneer that opens up the world of Bluegrass music to your country. Follow your dreams and stay humble and the "sky is the limit" for you.

We should do a BHO poll.
How far would you travel, to attend a Janna concert, if she was appearing in YOUR country?
I'm in the mood, today, to travel for about six hours, so, if it's in a major city in the American midwest, let's say 350 miles.
And if it's in a state where I have friends or relatives I could stay with, what the heck, I'd go to Oregon, Washington, Virginia, Vermont, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota.

I think that about ten hours one way. After about five hours I start to get tired, so i would need a backup driver, or start sooner. So if I could just average 60 MPH, and one pit stop, that would be plus or minus 600 miles. Well worth the drive and expense.

Wow, such a great story!! So glad for your wonderful experience!!! I saw Della Mae at the Greyfox Bluegrass festival in New York this past summer and was very impressed! Watched them from side stage about ten feet away. theres nothing like great music up close and personal!!
