Hi All, I have a Bill Miller 12 inch calf skin head on one of my open back banjos that I'm thinking about taking it off and putting on a elite and set it up for three finger. Will the skin head work on my other 12 inch rim, will it shrink back to it's original size before I stretched it. The ren head that is on the other banjo is only 1/8 to 3/16 above the bracket. Larry

The Miller head should be easily transferrable to another banjo. It will hold shape just fine.
If you need to store it...just place in a box to prevent crushing the crown...and keep it dry.
