Usually the B&D logo would be there, but otherwise there is nothing in the photos that seems suspicous to me. Did you notice the tulip flange?

If you do an image search on google for Bacon & Day Senorita, you'll see many just like it, and many other styles as well. I see no reason to doubt its originality.

It seems to have all the correct markings otherwise. I'd say it is a very early original.



On that note, I just checked and the earliest example listed in Polle's database is 29281, less than 200 banjos beforehand.

I think the little gold design beneath the "Senorita" mark is very cool.

To me the original silk paints seem sanded off - do notice the bright Pearloid - and then some creative person has painted the golden "bindings" and background decoration plus the black model name.
