John D - Posted - 04/17/2012: 08:57:14
The pervasive Bibbity Bobbity Booness of this Irish Slide got to me at first, but I learned to deal with it. Real hard to be serious about life when you play this tune!
Wildwood. Double D tuning

I like that a lot. That sounds really tough to play though. Really neat song!

Heh, I really wish it had a vocal track of you singing "bibbity bobbity", John. It's awesome as is, but would have been the awesomest with that mixed in.
Seriously, it's very good, everything I expect from a John D (driving yet melodic, jangly yet intricate, all in a unique tune).

Good job. Nice to hear a clawhammer version.
I play this 1 myself (3 finger melodic); it's one of a few Irish tunes that also get played at English morris dance sessions.
