I received a reply from Christine Miller (daughter of Bill) confirming that he died on Jan 13, 2012. Bill had battled Multiple Myeolma cancer for a few years. He was undergoing another round of chemotherapy and became sick with Pneumonia. Bill died of congestive heart failure on Jan 13.
There were rumors of Bill's death and even links to an obituary that we assumed might be his. But I had been unable to confirm it until now. This announcement is a little belated. But our thoughts and prayers are with the family of this great BHO friend.
Regarding the banjoseen.com website and the skin heads, Christine has been filling orders and expects to continue doing so. I know that she has supplied a couple of hides for me since her fathers' passing. She is working toward updating the website soon.

Thanks for letting us know about Bill, John. I too have one of his heads on a banjo at your suggestion. Bill was one of those dedicated individuals who made the banjo community so special. We are so fortunate to have people like Bill Miller who provide such great products and services.

I didn't know Bill, and being from the same region it saddens me to realize its too late, another person I would love to have met is gone. I think I had only purchased one or two heads from banjoseen but I was impressed by the quality of his product and customer service which made me consider him my preferred supplier of banjo heads. John, your post didn't mention whether Christine would be continuing the business long term but in the off chance that she sees these postings I would encourage her to do so. From all the postings I see here about folks trying out hide heads it would seem that the market is growing.
I would like to order another head but I hesitate to add to what may be backlog of orders, I think I will continue to look toward the banjoseen website and will consider any updates as an indicator that they are seeking new orders. Dave Culgan
