I was checking out the Epiphone website and it lists all the models that are discontinued, including the epiphone mb-250. Does anyone know if they will be replacing this model with another or they will only have the mb-100 and mb-200 left? I was interested in purchasing the 250.

They're still for sale on Amazon.com and SamAsh.com.... $599 in both cases.

Hmm...maybe I should hang on to mine and see if it starts going up in value now!

Musicians Friend is also selling it at $599 less 15% until the 28th.

It is a Gibson, if they are dropping this model, it is sad because it is one incredible banjo. I would never sell my MB-250.

It is a banjo made by the Epiphone division of Gibson. When I needed warranty on a bridge, it was Gibson. When I have a question, it is Gibson. If you want to see an Epiphone, you go to the Gibson website.

Of course.

Yes, Epiphone has stopped making the Mb-250. They also stopped production of the Emperor Regent archtop jazz guitar. An alternative would be the Fender FB-58 or a Flinthill FHB-280.

I'm starting to wonder if Gibson just might abandon banjos for good! No American made Gibsons for 2 years now, no dates for resuming production, the MB-500 was discontinued over a year ago, now they are down to 2 entry-level imports. The trend is clear.
