Recently I have noticed after posting a message there is a short delay before I am redirected back to the topic on the forum. During that short delay I am presented with a 'refresh page' which display's a number of links to other websites some of which are not banjo related. I noticed this evening one was advertising a link to the ROYAL NAVY. Not what I would expect on a website hosted in the USA but as I live in the UK it wouldn't necessarily be out of place if you are receiving revenue from it and you have authorized it.
It did however occur to me that the page may have been hacked and the script changed by a webbot (web robot).. I know when I have created form mail pages for my websites in the past my websites were frequently hit by webbot attacks.
Back then I was inundated with emails and I had to set traps in the scripts to block non human posts...

I have noticed the same thing when there is a delay.
I think it's the ad server or service.
I see it other places too that serve up ads, especially the Washington Post and the LA Times.
Seems the heavier the graphics load, the more it happens.
I've always thought it was just the ad server getting confused what with all the login info and tracking info they try to send anymore. Hadn't thought about a hack but ....
I'll keep my eyes open on the industry sites.

I always get the delay, too, but since I have Adblocker installed in my browser, I don't see any ads (I'm also a union member, so that helps with the lack of ads, too).

I have noticed similar delays, I am unclear what Tam_Zeb is referring to seeing offsite pages.
The delays I am seeing seem to be caused by google's ad server which dishes out those google ads (I am not a Union Member). Their servers seem to be running slow lately, and BHO pages won't fully load until those called sites respond or timeout.
I have noticed also the BHO servers are crashing or freezing a lot lately. With 20, 30 seconds of no response at all, then BHO responds, it seems a quick restart of Apache has happened.
