Today is a good day to post this tune... full moon, and the season's first hard killing frost, which is late this year, which is fine with us.
This tune fell out a few weeks ago when the geese went south. All day long, huge flocks heading south. There's always something moving about that sight, and the sound of them flying thru the night. In this part of the world you known summer's really over and you better start battening down the hatches.
Some bluegrass banjo out of me on this one, for once. Bishline Heirloom with new Sullivan Kershner Historic tailpiece and Kat Eyz bridge - I kind of like how it's sounding up there in C.

There's nothing about this that I don't like ! Good song and lyrics, good playing, good mixing, great sounding instruments and your singing isn't bad either ! It doesn't get any better than that.

Thanks so much for your gracious comments, Janet. My own favorite by the fire beverage is mulled wine, but I was aiming to write a bluegrass type song and whiskey seemed more bluegrass-ish than mulled wine or even dandelion tea 
. What's the old formula? You gotta mention trucks, whiskey, prison, trains, the old farm I left behind, and what else??
