Hi. I'm curious if anyone has done business with this fellow, and what their experience was like. His banjos sure look nice, but no sound clips that I can see. I ask because I made an impulse bid on one of his banjos on ebay, and "accidentally" won! I know it's a bad idea to buy without trying, or at least hearing, but there ya go.

What kind of banjo did you get ? ( I wouldn't put much store in sound clips anyway. There are too many variables to judge an instrument, banjos are very malleable & changeable, & you're listening through computer speakers )

I have seen quite a few of these "Second Life Banjos" sell on ebay. Usually they consist of an old vintage US made pot with a new Taiwan/Asian made neck. They should sound decent assuming the builder re-cuts the heel to match the pot. These necks almost always need to be re-cut for a good fit in my opinion.

I would say for $575 you got yourself a fine Banjo. Enjoy picking it and by all means have it set up by a professional Banjo luthier, this can make the difference between an alright Banjo and a great Banjo. If it sounds half as good as it looks I would be happy with it.
