Hello everybody.....I thought I'd see what everyone thought of the family band's recording of "I Wonder How the Old Folks Are At Home"....my grandpa is singing lead and playing rhythm guitar, my wife is playing bass, I'm on the banjo and I overdubbed some mandolin rhythm......normally on our stage shows, I half the breaks with our mandolin player, Zack Estep, but the band suggested I do the recording as a banjo showcase. I enjoy playing this song, I do Scruggs-style on the lead breaks and Reno-style on the backup licks. I love mixing and blending styles together. Hope you all like it! Thanks alot for listening!

Thanks Adam.....I play a Deering Goodtime. I love it,  it has a neck like a Fender Stratocaster.

The Carter Family gave us this gem and you're keeping it alive with authentic bluegrass sound.  How fortunate to have a family tradition like yours!

Forgot to add how much I liked the banjo choke sound of the cattle lowing in the lane (middle of your song).
