You might want to take a listen to some of the various versions found there (including my own). I think yours holds up really nicely in comparison with the others.

It's not such an old thread, and I would encourage you to revive it by posting your version there. I'm sure it would be a welcome addition to the thread.

Hey Janet  -- I did get the verse about the banjo on the knee!! I forgot plenty others though!!

I wish I had researched the verses, I just went from memory......which isn't very good!!

I really enjoyed this tune too Rock.  The sound of the banjo is terrific   Would you mind telling what you do to record sound of that quality?  I also liked hearing your voice.  It added a lot.
