it has hominy corn, peppers, pigs feet and cow stomach in it...its a mexican soup..good for hangovers...but i love it all the same..what a great soup! been eating it for years..eatin some right now

Do you make your own? A local mom and pop store used to sell it on weekends by the gallon. Unfortunately, they're now out of business and I haven't found a good source.

There's a Mexican restaurant here that serves menudo only on weekends. They do a great job. I was making my own until I found them. It makes it easier with my wife not being a big fan of tripe.

It's one of those dishes I would be complimented on, if I made it. When i told my wife and son the ingredients they would instantly put down their spoons. A Chicano friend served me some to get a reaction and was surprised when I accepted seconds. We scooped up the soup with homemade masa harina tortillas_YUM.

same here, the soup is good, the texture of the cow belly is hard to chew, a small piece of it just gets bigger as you chew

I believe most any liquid nourishment is helpful for a hangover, I think last time I had a hangover that a five gallon bucket of water could have been a miracle cure

For my Jamaican friend, Steve, it was "Cow Cod Soup" that had the miraculous properties.

A hint as to the ingredients: cows don't actually have a "cod"  but bulls do.

from reading it it sounds like something id eat...really...i love all that weird food, i love liver pudding etc.
