HI i think i am going to let my man Tony go,what a stupid mistake but what i do not understand is with the new fuel fillers he still could not have won because he ran out on the last lap they are not getting all the fuel in,i think they need a larger vent on the fuel can you can see when they fuel the cars the amount of air trapped in the tank plus the can, the fuel is not going in i am sure there is a lot of smart guys looking at the problem .Ron

I have to drive past the Speedway on Hwy 114 today (Sunday), on my way to play a show in Plano. On race days, that road is always choked solid, so I'm not especially looking forward to it because even days after the races the roads around it are full. But I'm glad it's there.
I'm not a NASCAR fan, but it sure does generate tons and tons of money for local economies. The Texas Motor Speedway seats something like a quarter-million people, and it was packed for the races. Is there any other kind of sports venue in the world, besides NASCAR, that accomodates so many people? The Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington - the biggest stadium in the country right now - can only seat around 120,000 maximum, but lots of them don't even get to see the field.
There's lots of people who absolutely HATE NASCAR, and they openly loathe the millions of motor sports fans who keep NASCAR going. But from the holiday atmosphere around the Speedway on race days, someone sure likes it!

I'm going to have to agree, Tony made the mistake of the season. Had he made a clean pit, his fuel strategy would have put him nearly a minute ahead of the entire field, and he could have easily nursed his fuel to the end, and won by half a lap or more.
