I came up with this after realizing I could probably make something very much like Honest Tea's Morrocan Green tea with Mint for very much less money..

2 quarts water just off the boil
8 bags 100% green tea
3 bags 100% peppermint leaves tea
2 TSPS honey - or to taste
I open the bags and shake all the tea out into the water
stir and let it steep 10 minutes, then strain. Let it cool and keep it in a jug in the fridge - tastes great hot or cold but the jug seems to empty itself too quickly

What are you tryin' to do? Make us all live longer & stuff? It's cool when something so healthful can also taste great. Thanks for the recipe. My wife is gonna love this.

That reminds me of the iced tea at a Moroccan restaurant we often ate lunch at during grad school umpteen years ago. I've not had it since, but this is worth a try. Thanks.

My wife brought a couple bottles this past summer - I've been swilling this stuff down ever since. Good stuff!

How about using Guava Nectar instead of honey?

Sounds yummy Brian, thanks! I never think of having green tea cold, but of course it would be good.

Yep! I find it to be sweeter and thinner than honey. I sometimes use it in lieu of honey. It seems to have a lighter taste than honey.

Well, when my Tagine arrives next week, I know what to serve with my morrocan chicken when I make it. Thanks,
Brad

I like to use the Agave sometimes instead of honey. To me it has a 'cleaner' sweetness while honey tends to be too 'rich' and cloying for my tastes. Honey is perfect for baking where I want richness, but for drinks where I want a more straight-up taste, the agave is better.

I'll have to try it out - I've seen it on the shelves at the market and it piqued my curiousity, but not enough to buy it. Thanks for the suggestion, Bikebum, KE.

Steen's Pure Cane Syrup would be another good choice for mint tea.

I'm putting stevia in mine, natural and no calories and no effects on blood sugar
