What's your favorite frozen pizza? We really like DiGiorno Rising Crust pizza.



The kids like pepperoni, but I prefer the supreme because of the veggies. With Diet Coke, of course.

DiGiorno pepperoni has no equal! There is nothing better than eating several million calories of pizza with greasy pepperoni, and then washing it down with diet Coke to keep that thin figure.

Anyone else like Pappa Murphy's?

I have eaten every frozen pizza sold in two different grocery store chains. They need help: more fixin's.
If I wanted thick crust, I'd make some toast. Soda crust is crap.

I have my own pizza crust and pizza sauce recipes. Good but some days, I don't want to do it. I want somebody else to feed me.
When I go that route, Panago pizza (thin crust) up here is the best take out/delivery around.

Yep. We have had Papa Murphy pizza. It's good. Digiorno is very good frozen pizza also.

Either DeGeornos of Freschetties. They are both excellant for a full sized frozen pizza.

But you also cant beat those little Totinos $1.00 pizzas. They are tasty and they will fill you up for just a buck.

HA HA HA!! So true. So funny. My boys like Totinos, so when we are doing frozen pizzas, my wife and I usually try something fancy (Freschettas) and get the kids Totinos. Whenever I take a bite of their Totinos I have the same reaction.... damn! that's good.
I generally search out anything with a thin crust. I wanna try that Dr. Oetker pesto pizza that Inniepie recommended!

We cook our DiGiorno pizza in the Big Green Egg on a pizza stone. It gives it that wood fired taste.

I love to bake. I can make biscuits, bread, and even dumplings but I have the hardest time making a decent pizza dough. So we usually use Boboli pre-made crusts and add our own ingredients such as pepperoni, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. Cook that on a stone in the BGE.

My fav "frozen" pizza is DiGiorno but we like to add chopped ripe olives, bell peppers and onion before putting it in the oven. FWIW we give the same treatment to the "ready to bake" variety from Wal-Mart too.

We'd buy the 3 meat rising crust and doctor it up with ham, more pepperoni, back bacon, more sauce, more mushrooms, and more cheese.

When my kids were quite young and had friends over for a birthday party, they assembled their own pizza.
I did all the cutty-cutty, chop-chop, half a dozen or more things and everybody got to eat what they wanted.
Packs of 8(?)" frozen pizza crusts worked perfectly.

I've never tried DiGiorno's - but I've tried many others over the years and never really found a frozen pizza that had what I like in a pizza - so it's easier for me to think of them as frozen flat breads with toppings and forget about comparing them to pizza. Biting into one and thinking of it as something other than pizza - Kashi makes the best frozen flat bread with toppings. I especially like their whole grain crust...if I think of any of them as pizzas though, they all seem pretty lame.

I used to love Tree Tavern frozen pizza as a teen in the 70s. One day it just disappeared from the store. I thought, oh well, they went out of business. I just now Googled it and it turns out they're still around. Now I gotta find me some!

Made pizza tonight for da wife in the kitchen oven 'cause the ceramic grills are buried in a snow drift. Fresh mushrooms and garlic sauteed in olive oil and deftly arranged on a home made, hand tossed crust with fresh mozzarella, aged pecorino Romano and a puree of DOP San Marzano tomatoes. ..mmmmmmmm
