thanks John ... I first heard that tune on Grisman's quintet '80 and it opened my mind to jazz on bluegrass instruments. The rich harmonies and melodies are too beautiful for a picker to pass up .... :)

I like the 2-banjo approach doub. The chord voicings are cool and molly is getting that single string roll real smooth. What's next - a Love Supreme?

Ditto what everyone else said. I've actually never heard the tune before, although I knew a girl in college named Naeemah, and everyone mentioned the tune. (went to a jazz school)
But I notice it seems you sling your banjo somewhat low, no? Not for a rock guitarist, mind you, but I often see banjoists with the instrument almost on their chest, which is also how I wear it. Any lower makes my hands hurt! Is that about the position you usually use?

hey chuck ... thanks for listening. yeah, that's how I wear the banjo.
when standing and sitting it's at the same level.
my right arm rests very naturally at that point.
