The banjo part seems a bit faint, but otherwise it sounds great!

... er ... well there actually isn't a banjo part BUT when I get my Tranjocaster back (I'm told it's on it's way back from Scotland ... we'll see) I'll do one

BTW, the backing track was made with BIAB ... pgmusic.com/

Great video Boog! I also stumbled upon your Water of Life video and just loved it. I'll have to look into the sitar pics, haven't seen them before. But honestly, there isn't a lot of sitars here in my neck of Oklahoma.

Boog, you are just too kind. Thanks for the visual. How are they working out for you? They don't seem to have as much surface area like the metal BG type picks.

Impeccable!

They work REALLY well for electric stuff and especially rock music. For BG however I think you're much better off with standard picks.

Super Job, Ian!

Funny thing, if I am not mistaken Mark Knopfler plays guitar with a banjo-type approach: three fingers and the ring finger resting on the guitar. (At least that what I always seemed like to me.)

So I guess the song has now come full circle!

I did read something about MFN now being outlawed in Canada - so you are living dangerously! :-)

Cheers

Ken

Man, that's GREAT and really looks like fun. Also looks like you barre the hell out of chords, but maybe that's just a 6 string thing.

You inspired me to play this song (by DS) in my spinning classes. I would play your cover if I could get it onto my Ipod. Nobody has heard or pointed out the offensive lyrics. Oh well.

By the way, I've got an old electric guitar in the basement. I wonder how to tune that to open G?

THANKS!

Hi Banjoer:

Glad you enjoyed. I've attached the mp3 and one of the backing track I made to play it. Open G tuning on the guitar is D G D G B D.

Cheers,
Boog
