Recently I started compiling a list of Gibson banjo ukulele serial numbers, to get an idea of how many might have been produced over the years. With the exception of the early UB trapdoors, and a few other exceptions, Gibson only put numbers on the UB-4 and UB-5 models.
I just put the list on my banjo uke web site. Go to banjoukes.com and then to "Manufacturers" and click "Gibson." If you have an instrument not listed, the information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for this. It is very interesting.
Here is a uke that might not be on your list. I bet you have it, but maybe not.

Thanks for pointing out the UB-5 on Craig's List, Slingerland. I emailed the seller but he "can't provide the serial number because it is inside the banjo." Oh well....
