Some folks like soup and crackers. I like cornbread in my veggie soup . Which do you prefer

IMO a pot of wonderful soup needs big ol' slabs of wonderful bread, not crackers (unless we're talking chowder, in which case a very specific type of cracker is the perfect accompaniment).

Being a lifelong Noo Winglander, the idea of cornbread hadn't occurred to be - but it sure does sound tasty, now that you mention it!

It is delicious. I tried it and haven't eaten it with crackers since. Around here, it is second nature to make a big ole pot of homemade soup when weather gets bad. Micki

I like it either way: crackers or cornbread. At our monthly jam we had soup and the "fixins'" were cornbread and crackers -ummm good!

I make a Chicken Enchilada soup that you put tortilla chips in rather than bread or cornbread -- tastes good!

I used to fix chicken enchiladia supreme, ev eryone liked. sorta like a pizza. But I have never had a recipe for the soup, although several have told me it was delicious. Micki
