Great, glad you got it. Glad you like the sound, it is really a nice looking banjo as well as having a great sound.

I ordered back in December from Mandolin Bros, and I'm still waiting. But then I changed to walnut with a renaissance head so it's going to take a while.

Now that I spent a little time with my Eagle II, I can say this thing is incredible!!!!! I love this banjo!!!! Didn't get the toad thingie but it is pretty cool.

There is one for sale in Rochester area at Stutzman's for about 1800 and it sounds the best of any I've tried in recent memory. I would go for it but I have yet to outperform my Samick SB-3.

Received my Eagle II yesterday, from Mandolin Bros, had to wait the 24 hrs for it to warm up, and got to open it today. I ordered it a little different than the standard version, I got it in Walnut, with Renaissance head, and rr spikes. I really like the changes. I' posting a few pictures, in my profile section via the link below, which will not do it justice, but just so you can see it with the walnut and Renissance head. I'd post other pics but you've seen those all before.

I noticed that while the resonator and neck are in a gloss finish, the rim is in a satin finish. Is yours that way also?

No, It didn't bother me, I was just a little surprised that they were different and wanted to make sure mine wasn't an orphan. Now that I look at the picture on 12 fret, they have the best banjo pictures of anywhere, I can see that the rim is satin and the rest of the banjo is gloss.

I'm really happy with the Eagle II. I've been through several banjos in the last few years, and this will be my keeper.
