IMO the best small american builder banjo for $1899.00. Kudos to Tom and his friends for a fine job bringing these affordable instruments to the banjo player.

For $1899 I'd put a Huber Vintage for $435 in the KK-250 banjo. Steve would drool over the chance to upgrade the KK banjo with his tone ring. You end up with a monster Smith/Huber built banjo for $2300. You can sell the 90's Kulesh for $200+ also. Not bad

The best banjo I found for the price. Craftsmanship cannot be any better. I am mainly a guitar player and needed a good banjo in our band. We can't belive the people who ask us about the banjo during shows. They want to know so many details. I am having fun playing the banjo more than the guitar on stage now.

First time I played the 250 was at Banjo Camp North this past weekend. Terrific sounding and looking banjos. Tom and Keith were so cool to talk banjos with. Keith helped me with the set up of my banjo and it sounds better than great now. Watching Gabe and Mike play at Toms table was a joy to see. If I could only pick like them some day. Overall at Banjo Camp I had a great weekend. Kudos with the affordable banjos Tom. They look great.

I own one of the KK250 banjos. I cut another rim for my HR-30 ring for this banjo. I call this one my poor mans Lancaster for under $3K. What a monster of a banjo.

From a guitar player turned banjo picker the Kel Kroydon instruments are great. I've had my chance to see plenty of other banjos that don't compare. Most pickers I meet  say "You've got to be kidding me, you paid what"

Best compliments when other pickers drool on your banjo.

I met Tom at the beautiful country club where he lives in FL yesterday. We talked music and banjos for a couple of hours at his club pub. A gentleman with a passion for music and banjos. I'm thrilled to know there's another banjo nut within a short driving distance me.

I'm going to _guess_ that the only differences are the inlay patterns in the head and fingerboard, and the concentric rings on the resonator of the KK3....

Everything else the same.

From the website I gleaned that one has and ebany board and the other rosewood, cant recall which is which. They both look great.
