Just received this message regarding Curly Seckler:
--------------------

Curly Seckler CELEBRATING 75 YEARS IN BLUEGRASS MUSIC!

For immediate release:
Bluegrass legend Curly Seckler suffered a mild heart attack on April 3 and underwent triple bypass surgery on April 5. His doctors said he was in very good shape for his age (90), and the prognosis is good. The surgery was successful, and Curly went home from the hospital on April 11.

Curly is looking forward to getting back out to pick and sing as soon as his recovery is complete. Anyone wishing to send get well wishes may do so via email to: curly@curlyseckler.net or via USPS to: Curly Seckler, c/o Penny Parsons Co., PO Box 51605, Durham, NC 27717.

Protocol for recovery from heart surgery will prevent Curly from traveling to two previously scheduled concert dates on April 30 in Kenbridge, VA and May 1 in Spring Hope, NC. We hope to reschedule Curly's appearance at both venues for later in the year. Meanwhile, here is updated information for these concerts:

Friday, April 30, 2010: Kenbridge, VA - Kenbridge Community Center, 511 E. 5th Ave.; 7:30 PM Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys, with Constant Change Presented by WSVS 800 AM and Lunenburg County Public Schools. This concert is made possible by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant.
