Looking for a specific image, stumbled across this.
Not truly banjo-related.
Just another person who feels a need for a banjo to help him deal with the difficulties of life.

Good heavens. I wonder if that condition is as uncomfortable as it looks.

That makes me feel sad but strangely uplifted too . . . especially with your take on the inclusion of the banjo, I would never have looked at it like that, but now you mention it, it adds a real narrative to the image . . . a bitter-sweet find, thanks for posting

Welcome to the Hangout, newcomer.
There's a lot of people on the membership rolls here, who are willing to admit that the banjo helped them through some just plain awful times in their lives.
And, of course, it often makes the good times that much better.

Sitting on that mandolin must be painful, eh? Good thing it's not an F model. That could REALLY hurt!

David,
I think an "F" model mandolin would atleast provide a "stopping point".

Sad to think there was no BHO back in that fellow's day. Obviously a kindred spirit. He would have found friends.

This fellow somehow exudes serenity. I like the jaunty angle of his bowler hat. I have to think he had many friends.
