My friend Chuck Waldman has built anothor of his 12-inch banjos with the hollow wooden tone ring--this time with a new take on the sound holes. If you're into the woody sound and 12" shells, take a look: http://www.gryphonstrings.com/instp...7/30447.html

Bill, I took a look. They are very enticing. Any sound files available?

Google "Molly Tuttle" She's done some recording with her Waldman, and some of it's on the net.

These are cool banjos. I try to play to them when Gryphon has one. The 14 inch oak rim one is a fun one to play. The workmanship on these banjos is high. And they're priced great. I'll get up there soon to play this one.
