I've posted a full length review of the fine new Gibson Brothers CD "Iron and Diamonds" on my blog. Downloads became available yesterday, and the CD will be released to stores on April 8th. Take a look at the review. - Ted

Hi Ted, Just to let you know there are folks out here who do read everything you write. I have been waiting for the Gibson Brothers' new release and now even more so after your review.
I have a lot of respect for your views especially since what you wrote about Larry Gillis and his new band members. It has taken him a while but now has a good sound again.
Hope to meet up with you at one of the Florida shows.

If there was any justice in the music world, the Gibson Brothers would be international country and bluegrass superstars headlining the Grand Ole Opry. They are THAT good at song writing and performing. Not to mention that they are first class nice people. If you've never had a chance to check out their music it won't disapoint you. I can't wait to get my hands on new CD. They're local to me so hopefully there's going to be a CD release concert.
Happy Pickin'

"Iron and ..."Diamonds"??? OK,..I was wonderin what the "diamonds" were about,..as the only thing they have around here are "Adirondack Rubies"...(which are actually garnets)...but I see the album cover features a baseball diamond. Sounds like another great production by the group. Hopefully they`ll have a concert and an album signing somewheres local. They usually do one at Plattsburgh U....at any rate, I`ll catch em at one of the Summer BG fests,..maybe see you too Ted ! With snow,..and ice, still thick on the ground,..summer can`t come soon enough !
Life is like a banjo,..ya never know what you`re gonna get !
..wellll,..I got me a skillet an I got no lid,.....
my ashcakes taste like sh

Larry - For sure they're going to be at Lake Champlain in August as well as Jenny Brook in Weston, VT in June. They're also doing a show on April 4 at Hawkins Hall at Plattsburgh State. That's before their release party in Nashville, but they'll certainly sing lots of songs from Iron and Diamonds. See you at Otis Mtn. if not before - Ted
