I was finally comfortable enough to play somewhat decently in front of my instructor today. He was actually playing the 'Shuckin' parts while I was playing some tunes with him at the same time. I was even able to play along with him, mirroring what he was playing for the songs I know.
The next problem to over come is totally losing focus when I start thinking about how cool it is sounding/feeling to be playing 'with' him, and choke so bad that I scew it up and have to start over.
