I have to work on making the cat box a little less accessible. Fiona recently discovered the joys of the litter boxes. I hadn't been letting her down there at all because she was peeing down there, but I need to do some cleaning/organizing down there, so I've been letting her come down with me. But when I run upstairs with a box she'll sneak into the cat room.

Cute guy is back. I didn't think I'd see him today even if he was back because his whole department is having a retreat. But I guess the retreat is here in our building, so he and some folks were coming down to their offices to get some stuff. He smiled and said hi.

dat - Posted - 10/22/2010:  06:58:56

that was the ice breaker, give him a big ol hug and a smooch on the smacker

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/22/2010:  08:01:41

I'm leaving early today, so I probably won't see him again.

1four5 - Posted - 10/22/2010:  08:29:55

Cool, he was thinking about you the whole time he was gone. Actually, my recommendation would be to grab him by the collar, get in his face, and yell "who is that other woman in the face book photos". But then, I'm not very good at advice.

Oh, yeah, so not only would I show him that I'm psychotic, I'd also admit to stalking his facebook.

Like I said... as veteran of 3 domestic wars (wife's # 1,2, &3), I'm probably not a good choice for romantic ideas... But can you believe I've been with my lovely bride (she's a non combatant) for over 10 years?

How do you know that Cute Guy hasen't been stalking you?

dat - Posted - 10/22/2010:  12:27:03

he is probably looking at your facebook right now

1four5 - Posted - 10/22/2010:  13:07:26

And wondering who the guy is in your pictures...

dat - Posted - 10/22/2010:  13:12:14

wishing that it was him in the pictures instead

1four5 - Posted - 10/22/2010:  15:01:09

and trying to figure out how to break the ice with Cute Girl

dat - Posted - 10/22/2010:  15:24:08

no no, not cute girl, Hot Chick, Cute Guy is trying to figure out how to break the ice with Hot Chick
you can't have two with the same first name, that just ain't right

1four5 - Posted - 10/22/2010:  16:39:54

Well, one thing is for sure, he's probably on a forum somewhere asking his friends how to hook up with Hot Chick...

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/23/2010:  05:03:30

Oh, heavens, there's that picture of Deepi in my facebook stuff.

Mostly I have my account set to private, but I think my pictures are viewable because I have a lot of yarn pictures. And, of course, Deepi:

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/23/2010:  07:59:04

I found two orifice hooks and a calculator! Life is good!

1four5 - Posted - 10/23/2010:  08:53:27

You should link directly to your face book photos, instead of going through all the trouble to add them to your BHO gallery...

Oh my... my third x was named Dawn.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/23/2010:  12:43:40

That picture of DP has been on BHO for a long time.

dat - Posted - 10/25/2010:  06:07:13

great, didn't do much at all, gathered eggs, picked mustard greens then went to my sister in laws and played 42 then went home, had a relaxing weekend.
How 'bout you?

I thought I had plans on Saturday, but I got the dates mixed up--it's next Saturday and I'm not sure I can make it--but I got up early to do this thing I thought I was supposed to be doing adn then checked online to find out where I was supposed to be and discovered it was next week.

So since I was up already I decided to be productive. I took pictures of yarn for about three hours and did a bunch of spinning. It was a good day. The only thing I didn't do was I forgot I wanted to take George's blanket out to him.

Sunday I worked but it was a good day, too. And I got a bunch of spinning done in the evening.

is it starting to cool off up there? we've had some nice weather here, 70 in the morning and mid to high 80's in the afternoon, we need some rain though

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/25/2010:  08:06:00

We almost had a frost the other day, but yesterday we were mid-70s and I think today and tomorrow we'll be the same. But the cold is coming soon.

dat - Posted - 10/25/2010:  08:42:06

I've built a few fires in the heater in the barn already, but it hasn't really been cold, it was just cool enough in the evening that it felt good to build a fire while I was there, haven't had one in the house fire place yet. I need to clean my chimney first, it's been a couple of years since I've cleaned it

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/25/2010:  08:45:07

I need to unpack the boxes currently piled in front of my fireplace.

1four5 - Posted - 10/25/2010:  09:49:20

Please send some cool to Kansas!

dat - Posted - 10/25/2010:  10:07:57

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/25/2010:  10:36:21

Will you all help with postage? This could get pricey!

dat - Posted - 10/25/2010:  13:17:55

How many truck loads will it take to send a weeks woth of cold weather?

JackJack - Posted - 10/25/2010:  13:31:30

I'll give you a week of our rain for a weekend of hot weather.

dat - Posted - 10/25/2010:  13:46:16

I WOULD GLADLY SWAP FOR SOME RAIN!!!
we're dry as can be, we've been under burn bans all summer and the lakes and rivers are as low as I've seen them in about 15 years, rain would be nice, we had some clouds saturday night, but no rain

1four5 - Posted - 10/25/2010:  14:26:06

I'll trade an entire Kansas summer for anyone's entire cold icy snowy winter... then it could be winter all year long, Yay!!!

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  06:03:58

I don't know that I would wish last year's winter on anyone. Unless the deal was that you had your own snow removal service. Last winter was hell here, but a large part of that is that we don't know how to deal with that much snow.

dat - Posted - 10/26/2010:  08:07:24

in inch of snow around here and people go crazy and drive like maniacs

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  08:25:46

There are times I think I should move back north.

1four5 - Posted - 10/26/2010:  08:36:48

Snow = stay home and relax and play with the dogs in the back yard.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  08:57:10

Now that I have a back yard (or a side yard really) I might be able to do that.

JackJack - Posted - 10/26/2010:  10:08:16

I haven't lived with snow for almost 20 years now, and honestly, the only thing I miss about it is nailing school buses with snowballs.

You are up north

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  10:17:56

I'm still south of the Mason Dixon line.

dat - Posted - 10/26/2010:  11:20:11

you're doing alright then

1four5 - Posted - 10/26/2010:  11:42:19

Where is Chris from?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  11:55:57

I think he's from the DC area. The guy on FB that I think might be his brother lists local schools as his high school and college.

dat - Posted - 10/26/2010:  12:23:37

not that you've been snooping around or anything, you just happened to notice huh?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/26/2010:  13:45:38

Exactly. Because I wouldn't want to be creepy or anything....
