Give us his face book link, and we will see what we can do about this.

dat - Posted - 10/18/2010:  05:39:17

or home address, we can go by and "talk" with him

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  06:01:49

Home address?!

Oh, right, like I would abuse my privileges in the database to do something like look up his home address....

If I might have possibly accidentally done a search for his name and then gone through all the possible entries he could be (seeing as his name is fairly common) to find out if my guess was right and he does live within walking distance of work, I certainly wouldn't have done anything stupid like drive by his condo.

My car is very recognizable.

1four5 - Posted - 10/18/2010:  08:03:09

Chris Smith?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  08:27:59

Not quite that common...

dat - Posted - 10/18/2010:  08:32:33

Chris Jones?

Oh, yeah, because that's subtle....

almost forgot, you'll need Dick Tracy hat too

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  10:08:52

Oh, I need a good hat.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  11:57:13

My etsy friends looked at the pictures and all agreed that the girl must be a sister or a cousin.

1four5 - Posted - 10/18/2010:  12:38:18

Time to get your private eye to find out who the girl is. Give us a look as well... if anyone can recognize relitives...it's banjo players... Lets see the pictures...

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  13:00:05

That's okay. I'm gonna go with what they said. No need to share the link with his name on it....

dat - Posted - 10/18/2010:  14:13:33

that's ok, we'll just call him Mrs. Quimby for now

1four5 - Posted - 10/18/2010:  15:30:11

Are you saying the girl is the future sister-in-law?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/18/2010:  16:37:10

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Let's not go getting hasty here about like wedding type stuff or anything. I'm just looking for a good time....

1four5 - Posted - 10/18/2010:  17:22:27

Chris is looking for a mom for his kitty

dat - Posted - 10/19/2010:  05:42:29

or somebody to clean his cats litterbox,
I don't believe he's the one for you, I kinda think dogsled guy could show you a good time instead without asking you to clean his litterbox. it would be fun to ride on a dogslead, winter is coming up soon

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/19/2010:  05:48:51

That reminds me, there's some woman who is interested in me maybe spinning her dog's hair. I need to send her an email.

Oh, and in case you guys were wondering--belly dancing when you're feeling a little crampy? Not a good idea.

1four5 - Posted - 10/19/2010:  06:59:20

Dog sled guy collects his dog's hair and spins it. I think he would like someone to make him a sweater.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/19/2010:  08:18:02

Does he want anything fancy? Like arms that are the same length?

dat - Posted - 10/19/2010:  09:04:15

no reason to have the same lenght arms on a sweater

Your wife has you well trained.

dat - Posted - 10/19/2010:  10:15:20

probably so, we've both learned how not to push each others buttons

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/19/2010:  10:45:14

I've been single so long I'm not sure I'd know what to do with another person around the house.

dat - Posted - 10/19/2010:  12:11:29

most of the time it's fun, then when you do get aggrivated, you sit back and figure it was pretty much over nothing, and it's all fun again.
my bride and I could both make each other mad ifin we wanted to, but it's great to make each other happy with the same energy spent.
all in all, it's a great thing to have somebody else around

JackJack - Posted - 10/19/2010:  12:14:54

And, it makes Hide and Seek is a LOT more fun!

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/19/2010:  12:18:57

Yeah hide and seek on my own ain't much fun.

Usually the cats find me in the morning, though, when it's about time to get fed.

1four5 - Posted - 10/19/2010:  15:33:07

I couldn't live without my lovely wife... I'd starve to death or go broke at Pappa John's

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/19/2010:  15:53:39

Speaking of going broke, I had my dog spayed today....ouch....

1four5 - Posted - 10/19/2010:  19:31:10

Ouch is right... vets are getting as outragous as people doctors...

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/20/2010:  06:04:54

What was funny (ironic) about it was that they gave me a discount for the price of the actual surgery itself. They said it's their way of saying thank you for having my dog spayed before she had a litter of puppies. So the entire bill was just all the extras--the anesthesia, the pain meds, the tech's time watching her recover, etc.

I also had them remove a weird dew claw she had that was an accident waiting to happen and had them put in a microchip. If I'd skipped those two bits I would have saved a little over $100. But I thought it was important to have those done. The dew claw, especially. Having worked at an emergency vet, I know how expensive a ripped off dew claw can get. And this one was like a mutant one or something.

They sent me home with an e-collar (which she got off last night) and a bandage on her leg (which I'm guessing will be off by the time I get home tonight). Guess they could have skipped those two things.

dat - Posted - 10/20/2010:  06:38:14

They could have skipped them, but they would have still charged the same amount and said it was for something else

1four5 - Posted - 10/20/2010:  17:36:23

You are a good doggy mom

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/20/2010:  17:40:08

I try.

1four5 - Posted - 10/21/2010:  01:41:08

Do they get left over table scraps? Ours start begging when they hear silverware clanking off a finished plate...

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/21/2010:  05:55:24

I don't ever give them people food. Despite that, Colby will follow you around hopefully the moment you walk into the kitchen. Fiona is only focused on the part of the counter where the dog treats are. If I'm over there, she's bouncing all over the place. Their leashes are currently on the counter next to the treats, so sometimes she sniffs over in that direction, too.

dat - Posted - 10/21/2010:  06:29:42

a hunting buddy of mine said he doesn't feed his dog scraps 'cause it would make him beg, I always fed mine what ever I was eating but he didn't get iany 'till we were finished eating. well unless we were in the boat hunting, then he ate crackers, sardines and sausage right there like he was one of the people

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/21/2010:  07:30:30

I think it depends on the dog. My dad was commenting on that. Colby will always look for food, no matter what. But my last dog I would occasionally give stuff to (I always split my fries with her when we went through the drive thru) and she was good about not begging. She'd come over sometimes and say, "Can I have some?" And if I told her to go away, she'd go away.

Fiona is actually suspicious of new food. But she will eat rocks.

dat - Posted - 10/21/2010:  07:38:21

that could get expensive, have you priced a load of gravel latley?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/21/2010:  08:04:07

Um, no, actually can't say that I have....

1four5 - Posted - 10/21/2010:  08:04:51

Our dogs wash the dishes for us

dat - Posted - 10/21/2010:  10:23:27

nothing like a good ol' prewash

1four5 - Posted - 10/21/2010:  10:35:37

They get them so spotless, we just put them away... well, that's what we tell people. how come no one ever wants to have dinner with us?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 10/21/2010:  11:48:13

What I want to know is did they have a pre-dinner snack in the litter box?

JackJack - Posted - 10/21/2010:  11:50:55

Can we hire them for my wife's catering crew?

1four5 - Posted - 10/21/2010:  15:16:04

How much does your wife pay? Lets see... 4 dogs... should be able to clean up a party of 200, in about 3 or 4 minutes...

We have the cat boxes in a "dog-free" zone in the basement!

dat - Posted - 10/22/2010:  05:47:24

clean up could be entertaining
