What kind of motorcycles? Does he have tattoos? Can you picture yourself on the the back of his motorcycle "in the wind"?

dat - Posted - 12/06/2010:  15:29:48

or she can get her own bike and ride beside him, or just have him put a side car on his bike

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/06/2010:  16:02:44

He had a Triumph that he rebuilt. The guy he works for is I think very well known for his expertise with them. It's not really big enough to take a rider.

You can see his tattoo in this picture:

He's allergic to cats. And he thinks I'm a hoarder.

1four5 - Posted - 12/06/2010:  17:45:22

Did you take that picture?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/06/2010:  18:49:56

No. It's a self portrait.

I have no idea why he took a picture of himself in the shower, except that he does have a bit of an ego...

1four5 - Posted - 12/06/2010:  19:40:39

How did dinner go?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/06/2010:  20:07:47

It was really good. I brought a gift for him with me. I gave him his gift when I got there. "I didn't get you anything!" he said. I said, "This isn't a Christmas gift. This is a thank you for helping me out with stuff at the house gift." He looked in the bag and said, "Towels?" I said, "Nice big ones. And they're black." And he said, "I was thinking just today that I need more towels."

He also has apparently lowered the age of the women he's willing to date. There was a woman he was spending time with a few months ago and apparently they are now officially dating. She's only four or five years older than he is. I met her this summer. She's very nice.

1four5 - Posted - 12/07/2010:  01:21:01

Guys do like nice big towels. Does he have any single friends?

dat - Posted - 12/07/2010:  05:48:39

or a brother or cousin?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/07/2010:  06:03:55

He has a brother who is a real ass.

His roommate is single. And about 400 pounds.

1four5 - Posted - 12/07/2010:  06:55:57

You could play Julian from the "Biggest Looser", and whip him into shape

dat - Posted - 12/07/2010:  06:56:37

well, that cuts those out, I don't think I know any single guys that live up north anywhere close to you, come to think of it I don't know many single people anymore, except for a few divorced and I wouldn't wish them on anybody

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/07/2010:  08:54:19

I should just resign myself to the fact I'm a crazy spinster cat lady and live it up for what it's worth and stop worrying about the other stuff.

dat - Posted - 12/07/2010:  09:17:23

just get dressed and grab a quilt to wrap up in and go out to the park and start feeding the pidgeons

1four5 - Posted - 12/07/2010:  10:23:31

Don't give up, there's no fun in that. Go to the dog park on a cold rainy day. There you will meet a guy who is very devoted to his dog. Those are the best guys. Walk up to him and say "What, are you crazy?" and he will say "Well, so are you" and then you will be happy ever after.

dat - Posted - 12/07/2010:  10:36:41

two crazy dog folks living happily ever after, I know I'm thinking too much, but maby he'll know how to cook so you won't have to try to learn

Wow, now you're seriously talking about miracles!

dat - Posted - 12/07/2010:  12:22:01

I can't help to look on the bright side

1four5 - Posted - 12/07/2010:  17:09:47

Well then, just go to the nearest Dennys and ask the cook out.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/08/2010:  05:49:42

Actually the guy who owns the deli I go to on the weekends has a bit of a crush on me. He always offers to carry my bag up to the counter.

He doesn't have a chin, but he can cook.

dat - Posted - 12/08/2010:  06:16:11

if he grows a beard it'll cover up not having a chin

1four5 - Posted - 12/08/2010:  08:01:30

I think it's time to seriously consider deli-man. What kind of dog does he have?

dat - Posted - 12/08/2010:  08:45:56

Probably a winnie dog

1four5 - Posted - 12/08/2010:  16:11:40

I'm thinking a deli-man would have a very chunky weenie dog.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/08/2010:  18:05:43

Probably with serious back problems that would require lots of money for vet bills.

I'm looking for someone who won't drag me down.

1four5 - Posted - 12/08/2010:  18:53:44

How about asking your vet out? Just think... free animal care for ever.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/09/2010:  05:48:34

They're both married.

dat - Posted - 12/09/2010:  06:09:03

find another vet then

1four5 - Posted - 12/09/2010:  08:26:57

You could always go to the dog park, have someone's dog bite you, have some studly dog owner guy rush you to the ER where a studly doctor guy would patch you up. Then you would be sitting there wondering which studly guy to ask out.

dat - Posted - 12/09/2010:  09:18:55

now why didn't I think of that, that'll work

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/09/2010:  12:33:20

I would be so confused by this dilemma I wouldn't ask anyone out.

That's just me.

1four5 - Posted - 12/09/2010:  12:39:03

You could always ask them both out and juggle two relationships, until one finds out about the other and then the dog poo hits the fan.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/09/2010:  12:39:51

Okay, so I've got a question.

So there's this guy and he's very nice and we knew each other way back in college and only recently discovered that we both live in DC. So we went out for dinner one night--it was originally going to be just us but we were having some trouble finding a night we could both do and finally ended up doing it the weekend another college friend was here. We had a good time.

So there's a couple of concerts coming up that I think he might enjoy going to because I know he likes the musician. But I don't like this guy like in a dating sort of way. So I don't want to give him the wrong impression. But I also wouldn't mind having company going to some concerts.

So one of the concerts I'm going to with a friend and her new husband and I'm thinking I might ask this guy, too, except for the seating situation. He doesn't know my friend, so I feel like it would be weird if I made him sit next to her. But if I don't, then one of them would have to be on my deaf side and that would just be rude.

But I feel like asking him to go with me to a concert, just the two of us, would make it seem more date like and as nice as this guy is, I really don't want to date him.

Suggestions?

dat - Posted - 12/09/2010:  12:58:58

don't worry about it, just ask him to go and pretty much tell him what you just typed

1four5 - Posted - 12/09/2010:  13:07:43

What kind of dog does he have?

dat - Posted - 12/09/2010:  13:11:36

if he has a Lab or a Greyhound I'ld say go for it, look at how nice the folks that have those dogs are

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/09/2010:  13:58:31

I don't think he has a pet at all.

I know he doesn't have a car.

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/09/2010:  13:59:28

Or a job, actually.

He was looking for something to occupy his time recently. Either a part time job or volunteer work or something.

1four5 - Posted - 12/09/2010:  19:16:43

Is he wealthy or something?

dat - Posted - 12/10/2010:  05:48:26

if he doesn't have a job, and he is looking to do volunteer work, he has bound to have more money than most folks like us that pretty much can't hardly wait 'till teh next paycheck to buy groceries

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/10/2010:  05:57:17

He's frugal. He was working in a job he wasn't real happy with. He was there for about 8 years. Then one of his coworkers was arrested for fraud and he was interviewed by the FBI regarding what he might know about the whole thing and he decided at that point enough was enough and he gave his notice.

He had enough money saved up that he didn't feel like he needed to find another job right away. I think he bought his condo maybe 15 years ago and paid it off, so he doesn't need to worry about rent/mortgage every month.

So he's been enjoying having time to just relax, etc. But the last I heard he felt like he maybe needed a little more structure in his life (hence the part time job or volunteer work) so that he wouldn't be tempted to sleep in too much, etc.

dat - Posted - 12/10/2010:  07:00:40

does he have a chin?

Mr. Quimby - Posted - 12/10/2010:  08:09:33

Yes.

1four5 - Posted - 12/10/2010:  08:48:15

Anyone who pays off a condo is worth further interest. Even if he doesn't have a dog, is he convertable?

dat - Posted - 12/10/2010:  09:10:18

a good dog will grow on anybody

My little dog will pee on anybody.

That's probably not the same thing.

1four5 - Posted - 12/10/2010:  11:59:14

yeah, but it would be an awesome test

dat - Posted - 12/10/2010:  12:10:21

if he sticks around after that, he might like you

1four5 - Posted - 12/10/2010:  12:15:46

This guy definately has possibilities... If he passes the pee test. There's no time like this weekend. Try and get a video.

There's something very wrong with this statement. Just very, very wrong...
