Notes: Notes: This is my interpretation of how Earl Scruggs played this tune on the "Foggy Mountain Banjo" album. All lead breaks and backup are included. The tab is written such that you can follow along with the recording. Adjust settings so that chords are displayed as letter names only, tab is displayed at 4 bars per line, and view is scaled to 16th notes. When adjusted in this manner, each phrase will start at the beginning of a new line.

Notes: The actual tuning is FDGCD (Sawmill with the 5th lowered to f). I play it capoed at 2 so if you do that your 5th string should be G. It is the tuning that a lot of us play Stoney Point in.

Notes: This is based on the version of Sally Ann played by Bertie Dickens. However, she played it in clawhammer/downstroking style, whereas this rendition is in the up-picking style. A video of me playing this rendition is posted on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/SnKEnfDV9H8

Notes: Most bluegrass banjo players are familiar with Earl Scruggs's arrangement of Sally Ann played up the neck. However, the tune is also quite amenable to breaks down the neck. I have tabbed some variations of a low break to Sally Ann that you may find useful.
