Been playing banjo since fall of 1981. I finally had gotten to go on the road @ 18 with The Boys From Indiana. I played with those guys for 5 1/2 years. Other instruments I've worked on are piano, guitar and drums. Really, I'd gotten away from playing banjo off and on, over the last 18 years. In that time, I had gone on the road as a piano player, and I also play drums at my church, and some gigging. But, I miss the banjo too much not to play it. I've gotten to play with a few really cool people since I was Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corps, such as Rhonda Vincent and the Wildwood Valley Boys. After all this time, I'd come to realize that I'm a banjo player. I love it too much not to be. So, I'm back in the saddle. But, the banjo is a bit of an unforgiving instrument. Its a long road back. But, I'm in it for the joy of playing.
