This Friday (10/9) at 11:00 am (ET) Eric Gibson will join Carol Beaugard on her show, “Lonesome Pine RFD” to discuss The Gibson Brothers ninth release, ‘Ring the Bell’. The program is heard on 89.1 in the New York City metro area and also carried on WAMU’s ‘Bluegrass Country’ in Washington, D.C. The show streams live that morning on www.wfdu.fm.

The project is the first recording issued on their new record label, Compass Records. It features members of The Gibson Brothers band - Mike Barber (upright bass), Clayton Campbell (fiddle), and Joe Walsh (mandolin) — playing on every track. (Mike Witcher from Missy Raines & The New Hip guests on resonator guitar.) They’ll listen to ‘Ring the Bell’ song by song, talk about future plans for the band, and Carol will also discuss their recent IBMA nomination for ‘Song of the Year’ for their title, “Iron and Diamonds”.

On Saturday, October 10^th, The Gibson Brothers will be the headline act at The Lippincott Bluegrass Festival, located at 69 Lippincott Road in Wallkill, NY (www.lippincottmanor.com). The festival is from 12:00 – 7:00 pm and also features many top local bands, including Carol Beaugard’s band, ‘Odyssey Drive’.
