Grew up in Darrington Washington, host of a giant bluegrass festival each summer. My uncle got me hooked on the banjo about two years ago. Needless to say that I am still quite terrible. But I love it, in fact I am straight up addicted. But feel like I am on a good path. Besides the banjo, I love to jam on a didj, or a djembe and experiment with different cultural sounds. If I am not participating in the music, I will probably be seen dancing. Dancing, in my opinion, should be encouraged at bluegrass shows, and not looked down upon. If the sound of your instrument doesn't make you want to dance, something is wrong.
