Favorite Bands/Musicians:
My likes have spread over the last 40 years. I like all kinds. Pink Floyd,Tom Petty, B.B.King, I have been known to like some heavy rock, but also like old Civil War era, and early bluegrass, fiddle, banjo, ect...
But to be honest, Country music has never been a favorite of mine, Some country singers make me cringe but I can say the same thing about , some rock singers also :) So don't hold that against me. Looking here to have some fun and education!

I am so new to playing a banjo that I don't own one yet. (GRINZ) I have been getting the feel of one by accident really. I have always wanted to play the banjo. Last month a friend of mine said he had 2 Yamaha Guitars and a banjo for sale, So I bought all three. Come to find out the banjo turned out too be a six-string banjo, or what they call a banjitar. (Who would have known that they made such thing??) So I took all 3 to a respected music Co. in Portland Me. Buck Dancers Choice and had all 3 instruments refurbished. My plan is to trade/sell all three for a real banjo!!! Hopefully by the fist of the year. I do not read music yet and basically just strummin' to get the feel, sound, ect.... I have no training and am going into this new hobby completely in the dark!! Needles to say, that all of your feedback, advise, tips, and other contributions will be welcome and held in kind regards. Thanks, and nice to be here!!
